Privacy Policy

Your family’s privacy is at the heart of everything we build.

Last updated: January 2024

WonderSpark is a learning platform designed for children ages 4–12 and the parents who care for them. We built our privacy practices to align with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide a safe, personalized learning experience:

  • •Parent account information: name, email address, and optional phone number.
  • •Billing information: processed securely by our payment provider. We never store full card numbers on our servers.
  • •Child profile information you provide: a nickname (not required to be a real name), age or grade range, avatar choice, and learning preferences.
  • •Learning activity data: games played, progress, scores, and time spent — used to personalize and report on your child’s learning.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

  • •Deliver and personalize learning activities to your child’s level.
  • •Show you progress reports and recommendations in the Parent Dashboard.
  • •Maintain account security and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • •Communicate service updates and respond to your support requests.

3. No Advertising to Children

WonderSpark is completely ad-free for children. We do not display third-party ads, and we never use children’s personal information for behavioral advertising or sell it to data brokers.

4. Parental Rights & Control

As a parent or guardian, you are always in control. From your Parent Dashboard you can:

  • •Review the personal information associated with your child’s profile.
  • •Export a copy of your account and children’s data at any time.
  • •Delete a child profile and its associated learning data.
  • •Cancel your subscription and request full account deletion.

5. Data Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant providers. While no system is perfectly secure, we work continuously to safeguard your family’s data.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. When you delete a child profile or close your account, we remove the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except limited records we must retain for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will notify parents by email and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
